Terms and Conditions of Use of TheIntegrityApp
TheIntegrityApp: is a digital tool and application for the self-assessment of integrity programmes. After answering a simple and practical questionnaire, your company/institution will receive a score from 0 to 100 that indicates its level of adherence to business integrity standards. It is important to remember that the application does not realise a certification. Based on the results, the user gets access to information on how to establish a policy to promote integrity in his business. TheIntegrityApp is an application of the Alliance for Integrity an initiative of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
Alliance for Integrity: is a global, multi-stakeholder initiative undertaken in the business sector to encourage transparency and integrity in the economic system.
Content: All contents of TheIntegrityApp including but not limited to texts, podcasts, and videos relate to Compliance Programmes and have been developed by supporters of the Alliance for Integrity and made available to users merely as capacity-building resources.
Users: Companies and institutions that wish to measure their integrity practices in form of a self-assessment process to strategically implement or enhance their compliance programmes.
Local Legislation: the legislation under which the User is subject. In the case of multinational companies, it will be considered the jurisdiction in which the subsidiary that is enrolled in the Programme is based.
TheIntegrityApp or TIA: is a tool (available via download for smartphones and tablet computers) and is also accessible on the web. It is aimed at adding value to existing corruption-prevention tools of the Alliance for Integrity by assessing the status of User’s compliance programmes and providing indicative content for improvement.
Important Information: Do you know what a Compliance Programme is? A Compliance Programme, in summary, represents the set of measures adopted by companies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations to which they are subject. Given the adaptable (and broad) meaning of the term, the topics in a Compliance Programme can vary from company to company based on their goals and risk assessment processes. In view of this, and in line with the objectives of the Alliance for Integrity, content provided in TheIntegrityApp may not fulfil all the requirements under the local legislation. As far as possible, Alliance for Integrity will tailor the Content to specific regions as much as possible, to support the prevention of domestic and international corruption. In view of this, regulatory or particular requirements of specific geographical regions and industries is not being covered by TheIntegrityApp. The results and eventual "scores" from TheIntegrityApp are only an automatic analysis done by the system, based exclusively on information provided by Users. These results also do not represent any official certification for any purpose nor indicate that the Alliance for Integrity has verified or attested that any User fulfils all the compliance requirements of any local or foreign law. The results attributed to the Users are merely indicative and aim to suggest a relevant tool or Content to improve the Compliance Programmes of the companies involved, indirectly contributing to a more ethical business environment by disseminating and promoting a so-called compliance culture.
The Alliance for Integrity, through TheIntegrityApp, seeks to foster a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance across companies by suggesting appropriate content for each User.
TheIntegrityApp is a fully collaborative application, powered by information provided by its Users. TheIntegrityApp is currently a free solution and offers free access to Supplier Users who wish to:
Respond to the evaluation questionnaire on its Compliance Programmes;
Obtain Content suggestions proposed by the Alliance for Integrity to improve and correct the gaps identified based on the answers provided;
Participate in a fully collaborative and interactive programme to foster business ethics.
The Alliance for Integrity is not responsible for the veracity or accuracy of information provided by Users of TheIntegrityApp.
Data Use: Preservation of your data confidentiality.is guaranteed by the Alliance for Integrity. Data will be used solely for obtaining information for producing supportive content. This means that in practice the sharing of statistics, but not the transfer of personal information of the users. TheIntegrityApp’s Users are already aware that they can stop the use of the application at any time, without the need to notify the Alliance for Integrity. The use of TheIntegrityApp is currently entirely free and collaborative, with no additional obligation other than those expressly provided herein.
Alliance for Integrity makes it clear, however, that simply discontinuing the use of the application does not automatically lead to discontinuity in the participation of the collaborative business-to-business programme. If the User does not want that Alliance for Integrity to use the data provided through the application (or web version) after discontinuing the use of the platforms, the User must use the appropriate channel provided to remove the data from our systems. For this, the user must follow the procedure established herein. Respect for your privacy: For Users to discontinue their participation in the Programme and consequently have their data erased from the system, they should send an e-mail to (email@example.com). Alliance for Integrity undertakes to delete your data from its servers. The User will receive a message confirming the removal of company’s data.
The Alliance for Integrity will keep all your registration data confidential and will not disclose it or use it for purposes other than those set forth herein. If a local judicial authority requests data about a User, Alliance for Integrity will take all precautions and use all legal means possible to protect the data and, if prevented, notify the affected User immediately.
The physical person (the point of contact) responsible for creating access to the TheIntegrityApp (and who has provided login, password, and data information regarding the participating company) states that it has the necessary powers and knowledge to bind the company it represents under the penalties of the law.
Alliance for Integrity also makes available to the User a communication channel for questions regarding the use of TheIntegrityApp as well as suggestions, via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org).
